In the month of February 1997, I was driving to Concord, CA to speak with a priest so that he could help me with some problem that I was having. I was driving my father-in-laws car in which I was not very use to. I noticed that the fuel tank light in the car was red, but that the needle to the fuel tank pointed that it was full. So, I paid no attention to it. Driving on the freeway on the way back home from seeing the priest that I went to talk with, I could feel that the car was loosing power. I heard a big noise in the car like a bomb, and then the car stopped completely. It was dark and cold outside, and I had $20.00 on me. I called out to the Lord "Lord, why did you do this to me?" "I am here in the cold with no money. "I am lost, and I don't know where I am at." "I have no phone with me." "Lord, why did you do this to me?" "What am I going to do now?" I thought, "well I won't stay in the car." "I will go look somewhere for a phone or something." I stepped out of my car and took three steps. I was so nervous and cold, and I did not even look to see who was in front of me. I heard a man's voice with a hand outstretched in front of me holding a cell phone. The man's voice said, "here is a phone for you to use." I looked at him but did not see his face, and I said, "you must be an angel from God." He asked me if I had a Triple A card. I was a Triple A member, but I did not have the card on me. Then he asked me if I had my social security number. He said that Triple A will accept that. I was so nervous that I could not even make the phone call. I said to the man, " I am so nervous and cannot make the phone call." So he did it for me. He placed the call to Triple A and after placing the call, he said to me, "Go inside the car and wait there, it is very dangerous for you to wait her." "They will be here in fifteen minutes." I went inside my car and waited and in fifteen minutes, Triple A arrived, and I never saw the man again. I asked Triple A to check and see if it was the gas. The technician said that it was not the gas. So, then the car was towed to a Mechanic's shop in San Leandro, CA. The mechanic gave me a ride home, and then a couple of hours later, the mechanic called me to tell me that it was indeed that the gas tank was empty. I paid $70.00 for Triple A to tow my car to the mechanic's shop, but then because of the error of the Triple A technician who said it was not because of the gas, Triple A reimbursed the $70.00 back to me!
I can never forget this for the rest of my life! I believe this was an angel from God who was sent to me! I called upon the Lord and he saved me!
