A Rare Healing

On November 26, 2012, I was diagnosed with periodontal disease. I had 50% bone loss on my right bottom quadrant, which left me with a 9mm gum pocket. I was given antibiotics to fight the infection, and I was ordered for further x-rays. I was also placed on a periodontal cleaning regimen. 

There is no healing for periodontal disease. It can only be managed, and the earlier the better. Since there was only one gum pocket in my mouth, my dentist believed it was just bad luck. He was skeptical that a 9mm gum pocket would heal back to a normal gum pocket, sized at 3mm. 

I spoke with other dentists and surgeons, in addition to doing my own research, and the prognosis was not favorable of a return to normality without surgical intervention. This could be possible with a 5-6mm gum pocket, but not as deep as a 9mm.

Following this prognosis, I attended the "Make Love Your Aim charismatic prayer community". During the meeting, a brother in Christ called out a vision. In the vision, he saw a finger touching a jaw and stated that God was touching someone’s jaw bone. Upon hearing that, I excitedly exclaimed that I had been diagnosed with periodontal disease and received that vision as a prophetic word that God was going to heal my gum!

As the months went by, little by little, my gum pocket began to decrease in size. Each time I went for a dental cleaning, it was up higher. I knew in my heart that God was going to heal this, even when my dentist was skeptical. I asked him once if he had ever seen a gum pocket at 9mm heal back to normal at 3mm. He stated that in the twenty years of his dentistry, he had not seen it, except in a textbook.

On January 4, 2014, my gum pocket was sized at 4mm! On August 10, 2015, an x-ray revealed bone growth where there had been bone loss!  As of today my gum pocket is back to normal size at 3mm.
