Helpful Stranger

In December 2018, I was moving into a new apartment complex. I could not carry my recliner chair with me, so I left it behind, thinking that I would acquire another used one at my new place. I did not have a pickup truck to carry a recliner chair in, though I thought my car trunk might suffice. I also did not have anyone I knew personally to help me. I decided in faith that I would trust God to provide the chair and the help that I needed.

So I went to a thrift store and bought a used chair for $7.00. The chair was in great condition, so I thought that this was a blessing from God. Then, to my surprise, the store associate informed me that they could not assist in lifting the chair to help me to my car, as it was against their store policy. I did not panic at all, but continued to trust God that He was going to provide.

I decided to go pull up my car and try to drag the chair myself. Praying, as I stepped outside, there was a truck pulling up to the door with a man inside. I stepped out the door and waved at him. He stopped, and I asked for his assistance. The man used his truck to carry the chair for me and deliver it to my new apartment. I knew that this was God providing for me, and I never doubted or wavered that He would. 

Thank you Jesus for Your care and for providing for me that day when I was alone and did not know where my help would come from, except that it would come from You. Amen!
